Firefighters were called to a car alight in a driveway last night.

Crews from Thames-side Fire Station were called to The Drive in Longfield, near Dartford, shortly before 10.30pm following reports a vehicle was ablaze.

Firefighters tackled a car fire outside a residential address last night.

Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put the fire out.

There were no reported injuries.

The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault under the car's hood and is not being treated as suspicious.
