Tyler Roye, 18, named as man who died in Thames Road, Crayford, car crash

A teenager who died after a car crash has been named in tributes as Tyler Roye.

The 18-year-old died when the vehicle he was in crashed into a central reservation at around 10pm last night.

The collision happened in Thames Road, Crayford, near Dartford.

Friends and family of Tyler, who is thought to be from Gravesend, have paid tribute to the 'lovely and lively' teen following the fatal crash.

One woman commented "Rest up Tyler gone way to soon," while another added: "Ride safe up there mate, you’ll be missed."
Officers from the Metropolitan police and the London Ambulance Service were called to the road, but the young man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses and information following the fatal collision.

Detective Sergeant Jose Qureshi, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Thames Road and who either saw the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to come forward.

“A young man has lost his life and we are working hard to piece together what happened.”

Inquiries are ongoing.
