Drivers facing delays after incidents on M25 and A2 at Dartford

Drivers are facing delays on the M25 and A2 near Dartford this afternoon following a crash.

Police were first called at 2.15pm to a report of a two car collision on the London-bound A2, close to the flyover for the Dartford Crossing.

Officers were in attendance alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, who assessed those involved for injuries at the scene.

Two lanes were closed and drivers were warned to expect delays after the accident.

Debris was reported on the road and drivers were warned to approach with caution and expect delays in the area.

There were further reports this afternoon of debris on the road on the M25 near the Dartford Tunnel with congestion reported back to Junction 2 at the Darenth Interchange.

The left hand tunnel was reported to be blocked, with northbound traffic diverted via the East Tunnel.

The road reopened at around 3.30pm.
