Plumstead man dies on his birthday after crash on London Road, Greenhithe

A driver was killed in a crash on his birthday.

Jason Laing was driving his Nissan Qashqai along London Road in Greenhithe when it collided with a parked lorry.

Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called out to the scene of the crash on November 7 - Mr Laing's 41st birthday.

An inquest opened today and heard the results of a post mortem. It revealed the Mr Laing, of High Street, Plumstead, died of multiple injuries.

Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit were called just before 12.30pm and the road was closed between St Clements roundabout and Hedge Place Road until around 4.45pm.
