Sutton-at-Hone primary pupil litter picks his route to school

A five-year-old has collected four bags of litter after questioning why people don't take home their rubbish.

Buddy Avis from Sutton-at-Hone walks from Hawley to his school everyday and was shocked to see the amount of rubbish on his route.

The Sutton-at-Hone primary pupil said he'd love to go litter picking after seeing how much rubbish was in his area.

His dad, Fallon, said: "His nan asked the council if they could help and they sent Buddy a litter picker, hi-vis vest and bags so he could collect rubbish.

"On Saturday morning he collected four bags of rubbish but this morning, on his way to school, he was disheartened to see there was already bits of litter on the way."
