Man falls 30 metres off cliff edge into quarry on Manor Way, Swanscombe

A man has been rushed to hospital after he fell 30 metres into a quarry in the early hours of this morning.

The alarm was raised just after 2am this morning after reports the man had fallen from the cliff edge at Manor Way in Swanscombe.

The air ambulance joined emergency teams rushing to the scene of the stricken man. Stock image

The Kent Air Ambulance joined teams from the police in racing to the scene with three fire engines and a technical rescue team joining the effort.

The crews were eventually able to pull the man to safety where he was passed into the care of paramedics.

It is not yet known what condition he is now in.
