Expensive computer ink cartridges worth more than £800 stolen from a supermarket has sparked a police investigation.

Officers have now issued CCTV images of a suspect after an second attempted theft this week at the Asda store in Swanley.

Police are linking the attempted theft of £1,000 worth of printing equipment from the London Road store this week to an incident back in January.

On January 12, a man and woman made off with a trolley full of the high-value supplies and a member of store security was allegedly assaulted as the pair left the shop without paying.

On Monday, at 4.15pm two men were stopped by a security team as they tried to leave the same store.

It was reported to police no attempts were made to pay for the items and although they were recovered by staff, the suspects managed to escape.

Officers are now trying to track down a man from security camera footage captured inside the store.
