A sword has been recovered and a wanted man arrested after an incident at a train station.

Officers were called to Dartford railway station last night after concerned staff reported the suspicious behaviour.

The man was identified and arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.

He was interviewed and released under investigation for that offence but was not released from custody as it was later discovered he was wanted for a recall to prison.

It follows a busy evening for the British Transport officers at the Dartford station who had also made an arrest earlier that evening for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
