Teenager seriously hurt in collision with car while crossing Hawley Road, Dartford

A teenage boy was seriously hurt in a collision while crossing the road.

The 17-year-old pedestrian suffered a broken leg and was taken to hospital for medical attention.

The driver initially stopped but left without leaving any contact details and more than two weeks on, police have yet to find her.

It happened at around 12.20pm on Monday, May 17 when a car collided with the boy as he crossed at traffic lights in Hawley Road, near the junction with Oakfield Lane.

Investigating officer PC Andrew Hoodless said: "It is understood the woman driving the car stopped at the scene but left before any details could be exchanged.

"Our inquiries have not identified the driver at this stage and we are urging her to contact us.

"We are also asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call the appeal line and for drivers with dashcams to check for any footage which could assist the investigation."
