Three arrested in Swanley after noxious spray attack on man in Edenbridge High Street

Three men have been arrested after a man was assaulted and had a "noxious" substance sprayed into his eyes.

Police were called to Edenbridge yesterday following reports a man was attacked by three others in the high street.

It is reported the victim had a noxious substance sprayed into his eyes during the incident.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene shortly after 11.30am.

The victim declined hospital treatment and is not believed to have suffered any serious injury.

Meanwhile officers carried out a search for the suspects’ vehicle, which was assisted by a police helicopter.

The car was later brought to a halt with a stinger device in Birchwood Road, Swanley.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody.
