East Hill in Dartford closed after three vehicle crash

A road through a town centre closed leading to heavy congestion after a crash involving three cars.

The accident happened around 3.15pm between Mount Pleasant Road and the A296 Park Road on the A226 at East Hill in Dartford.

No injuries were reported but one lane had to be closed while the vehicles wait to be recovered causing queues in both directions.

Drivers have been warned to avoid the area if possible.

A police spokesman said officers were called to the scene but confirmed nobody has been hurt.

The road reopened at about 7pm.
