Three-vehicle crash leaves A2 Eastbound gridlocked between Dartford and Gravesend

A crash involving three vehicles brought traffic to a standstill on the A2 Eastbound between Dartford and Gravesend.

Severe delays are still being reported following the collision, involving two cars and a van, with one vehicle left facing the wrong way.

Police attended the scene and the road is now open again, however severe delays are still being reported as a result of the crash.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 5.12pm to a three-vehicle collision on the A2 coastbound, close to the A227 Wrotham Road.

"The incident involved two cars and a van and resulted in a live lane being partially obstructed however no serious injuries were reported."
