Drivers have been warned to proceed with caution on the QE2 bridge at Dartford due to high winds.

Wind speeds of up to 60mph have been forecasted around Kent but so far the crossing between Essex and Kent has remained open.

However Highways England warned drivers to proceed with caution on the crossing and lower their speed.

They tweeted: "**30mph speeds** on the #QE2 bridge due to high winds. Please proceed with caution. Updates to follow."

The high winds have also brought disruption to train services, with passengers have been warned to expect disruption throughout today after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for wind.

Southeastern has made changes to routes "because of the potential risks to trains of falling trees," while speed restrictions have been put in place by Network Rail.
