Police investigate reports of assault in Subway in Lowfield Street in Dartford

An attack on a man at a town centre branch of Subway that was caught on camera is being investigated by police.

The assault happened in Lowfield Street in Dartford on Tuesday (September 12).

CCTV footage taken from inside Subway shows a group of youths entering the eatery and throwing crisps out of the front door.

A man filming the boys has his phone knocked out of his hand and is then punched in the head before being knocked to the ground.

Chief Inspector William Lay said: “Kent Police was called to a report of an assault in Lowfield Street, Dartford, just after 7.10pm on Tuesday.

“Officers attended and carried out a thorough search of the local area and an investigation into the circumstances is under way.

“We are working with the victim and those involved to support them and identify the suspect.”
