A motorcyclist who "lost her memory" after a crash on the A2 earlier this week is asking people to help identify the van which hit her.

Jade Nicholson was driving London-bound around the Cobham area on Wednesday when a blue vehicle hit her, knocking her off her Honda into the back of another car.

Jade Nicholson says she doesn't have any recollection of the crash (23560266)

The 33-year-old says she can't remember anything clearly from the accident, which happened at 7am near the Bean Interchange and caused long delays.

"I felt like I was hit with a sledgehammer," the Chattenden resident said.

"I've had bruising come up now and I can't move my neck, back or arm properly.

"The most frustrating thing is the lack of memory, I'm getting the odd glimpse of a face, or a conversation, but can't piece any of it together."

Ms Nicholson, who works in Dartford, is hoping anyone who saw the incident will be able to help her recollect what happened so she can tell her insurance company.

She said: "I couldn't tell them anything. It was just a case of me reprorting an accident but not being able to tell them the who, what, where and why.

"I didn't even know it happened until I saw KMFM's post and realised it was my bike. I've completely blacked out all information.

"I remember the blue van siding into my from the third lane to the fourth lane straight into me, but apparently he did stop initially and someone went to talk to him and when he saw me trying to get up he got back in and drove away."

Police spokesman Martin Very said: "At 7.25am on Wednesday 4 December, Kent Police was called by the South East Coast Ambulance Service to a collision involving a van, a car and a motorcycle on the Londonbound carriageway of the A2 near Cobham.

"Officers and the South East Ambulance Service attended the scene where the motorcyclist was treated for injuries before being conveyed to a local hospital for further medical attention. The van had left the scene prior to the arrival of patrols and enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver."
