Line up released for Music on the Farm family festival hosted by Martha Trust at Solley's in Ripple near Deal

The line up for a popular one-day music festival in Kent has been released.

After two turbulent years owing to pandemic cancellations and restrictions, the Music on the Farm that families know and love is set to return.

This year's event will be on Sunday, June 26 from noon until 8pm in the fields of Solley’s Ice Cream Parlour in Ripple.

Hosted by Deal based charity Martha Trust, it is set to raise more than £20,000 to help provide and care and support to people with profound disabilities.

The confirmed line up features a mix of modern hits, bluesy beats, rock and cheesy tunes.

Performers are Andy Lawrence, The Bad Penny Band, PLAY, Your Shout, The Martellos, Lofty Harris and FNKHAUS, plus dance displays by Dean Academy of Performing Arts.

Fundraising and events officer, Kerry Banks BEM, said: " After an incredibly challenging two years due to Covid19, we are really excited to be working with Solley’s who are such long term supporters of Martha."

Entertainer and singer Sarah Banks will be compere for the day, with six hours of children's entertainment from creative arts workshop leader Lizzie Willis - all included in the ticket price.

There will also be face painting and hair glitter by Anna’s Face Candy plus traditional activities like hook a duck and a coconut shy.

People are invited to pack a picnic or enjoy food and drink from one of the on-site vendors and bars, which are donating 20% of their sales back to Martha.

The day will end with an auction plus a raffle including the chance to win a wheelbarrow of booze.

Main sponsorship has been provided by CH Staffing and Solleys’s Farm Ice Cream, but more sponsorship, raffle and auction prizes are welcome. Get in touch via fundraising@marthatrust.org.uk

Tickets are £30 for a family (2 adults and up to 3 children under 16), or £12 per adult and £5 per child, available from marthatrust.org.uk/musiconthefarm or by calling 01304 610448.

Limited gazebo spots are available for £40 and guests are responsible for supplying their own gazebo.

There will be free on-site parking for 200 vehicles on a first come first served basis but vehicles cannot be left overnight.
