Five treated after two-car Sandwich Road crash in Sholden near Deal

A man had to be freed from his car after a crash earlier today.

Two cars collided on the Sandwich Road near Deal at 1.30pm, causing five people to be injured.

Two fire engines attended the scene, with crews having to use hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of one vehicle, freeing a man trapped inside.

All those involved were treated by paramedics on the scene.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service involvement ended at 2.10pm.
