A man was taken to hospital after a disturbance at a property in Deal.

Officers were called to the incident in Freemens Way at around 6.30pm last night.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.

A spokesman said: "During the incident a man is reported to have been assaulted and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

"A 34-year-old man from Deal was arrested on suspicion of assault and he remains in custody as enquiries continue."
