A road in the east of the county has been closed due to a collision.

The A258 London Road was shut in both directions from Middle Deal Road to Allenby Avenue.

Kent Police was called to reports that a motorcycle had collided with a property on London Road, Deal at roughly 11.15am this morning.

A police spokesman confirmed that officers were at the scene.

It is understood the rider has hit Yummy Chinese takeaway.

The road was reopened at around 7pm.
