Rowers from around the south east coast are already descending on Deal for the annual regatta today.

Deal Rowing Club is to welcome hundreds of athletes who will, despite the rain, complete on the water from 9am.

There will be refreshments available and all are welcome to watch and cheer on the competitors.

The club is based at The Marina, next to the Forrester Pub.

The next quiz, in aid of club funds, will be on Saturday August 3 at 7.30pm.
