Singers from Deal Parochial perform in Prom Praise for Schools event at Royal Albert Hall

Thirty schoolchildren from Deal took part in a school proms at the Royal Albert Hall.

Years, 4, 5 and 6 children from Deal Parochial School took part in Prom Praise for Schools at the world famous London venue.

The pupils were part of a mass choir of 500 children and got their place after passing an audition.

Deal Parochial had been invited to compete last summer and choir members have been rehearsing for two lunchtimes a week since Christmas.

The theme of the proms was Lost and Found. Songs, drama, beatboxing and classical music all helped to tell the story of The Prodigal Son.

The school also experienced success on the football pitch last Monday, and were named the first ever winners of the Goodwin Academy Challenge Shield.
