Stalls stacked with antiques and collectables will line the High Street on Sunday with the return of Deal Braderie.

The annual event organised by Deal Town Council will run from Church Path by St George's Church to just past the junction of Water Street, near Alfred Square.

All 130 stalls were sold out by early June by vendors from all over the county.

St George’s Church will again be giving away hundreds of free pastries, doughnuts and hot drinks to passers-by between 11.30am and 1pm.

There will also be offering free face-painting for children.

Team vicar Shiela Porter said: “We love being part of the Braderie, taking our usual Sunday worship outside, starting at 10.30am, and meeting everyone browsing the stalls.

"We always look forward to meeting visitors and local people and having a chat as they enjoy some refreshments with us.

"We’ve got lots of cakes and pastries ordered - so we hope there will be enough for everyone!"

Deal Town Council will also be opening its doors on Saturday, September 21 as part of the national Heritage Open Days.

The Town Hall will be open from 10am until 3pm to allow visitors to view the mayor’s parlour, civic regalia, artefacts and exhibitions.
