Three arrested after ruckus in Queen Street, Deal

Three men were arrested after reports of a Christmas Eve ruckus outside a bar.

The disturbance happened near Blairs in Queen Street, Deal, in the early hours of December 24.

Emergency services were called and three men aged 42, 22 and 19 were arrested on suspicion of affray.

Witnesses on social media reported seeing ambulances outside the business alongside five or six police vehicles.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called at 2.27am on Sunday, December 24 to a report of a disturbance in Queen Street, Deal.

“Officers attended the scene where three local men – aged 42, 22 and 19 – were arrested on suspicion of affray.

“They were later bailed till March 24, 2024, while enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
