Traffic was held on the A2 after a car caught fire.

Some delays still remain in the area following the blaze near Dover .

Dramatic photos showed the small hatchback alight between the A260 and A256.

A fire services spokeswoman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car fire on the A2 near Dover, at around 13:48pm.

"Two fire engines were sent to the scene, and crews worked to extinguish the flames.

"No casualties were reported."
