Two women on drugs charges after police chase in Clarendon Road, Dover, ends when car crashes into fence

Two women have been charged with drugs offences following a police car chase which ended in a crash.

A driver failed to stop for officers when ordered to do so in Clarendon Road, Dover, on Sunday evening.

Following a short pursuit, the vehicle was found nearby, having collided with a fence near Malvern Road, just around the corner

Lauren Avery has been charged with possession of class A and class B drugs, and a psychoactive substance, all with intent to supply.

The 25-year-old, from Temple Ewell, is also charged with possession of an imitation firearm, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving without the correct licence.

Demi Douglas, 19, of The Linces, Dover, has been charged with possession of class A and class B drugs, and a psychoactive substance, all with intent to supply. She is also charged with possession of an imitation firearm.

Avery and Douglas were due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court today.
