The display is from 9.45pm and the sailing around Britain starts straight after that.

The fireworks are organised by the Port of Dover.

A spokesman said: "There is no access to the cruise terminals. However good viewing points for the fireworks are at the end of the new pier which will stay open a little later than normal, or the beach or cliffs."

The new Saga cruise liner was officially named by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, at a ceremony last Friday at Dover Western Docks.

Musician Jools Holland played for guests on board that evening.

It has room for exactly 999 guests and 521 crew.

It has a gross of 58,250 tonnes, is 774.3ft long and has a maximum beam of 102.4ft.
