The Community Safety unit at Dover Police are asking for the public's help in identifying large groups of nuisance motorists

They are said to be using local public roads in an anti-social and unsafe way.

In an alert to the community, sergeant Gavin Rolfe warned that those responsible face prosecution and having their vehicles seized.

He said: "We have become increasing aware of well organised large gatherings of high performance cars and drivers using the local public roads in an anti-social and in an unsafe way.

"We would urge anyone with any information about these events in the future to let us know via the Kent Police website or even via crime stoppers if you wish to remain anonymous.

"The message is clear to anyone involved in these gatherings who are found to be using the roads in a dangerous or anti social way will run the risk of being prosecuted and having their vehicles seized."
