A man has been rescued from a cliff face this evening.

Four fire crews were called to a slope above Dover Eastern Docks just after 5.30pm

Crews used safe access equipment with specialists from Deal fire station's line rescue team and Maidstone's technical rescue team to carry out the rescue.

The scene was cleared within an hour.

It is not clear how the man came to be on the cliff face.
