Holdup on decision for 34 homes planning application in Capel Street, Capel-le-Ferne

A decision on a planning application with 120 objections has had to be deferred.

The scheme for 34 homes in Capel Street, Capel-le-Ferne, came before planning councillors last night.

But members were told that the application had been withdrawn at present to allow further scrutiny by Kent County Council highways officers.

Most of the concerns were about parking and traffic.

Some said the road was not wide enough for extra vehicles and there were already too few parking spaces.

Last night's planning committee meeting was told that the application was expected to come back before it in February.
