Suspected drug-driver arrested after police dog finds drugs in car in Guston near Dover

A man has been arrested after a police dog uncovered suspected class A drugs and a BB gun in a car.

Police pulled over a motorist on the A258 in Guston, near Dover, at around 2am today.

Officers searched the vehicle and with the help of PD Charlie, found cannabis, suspected class A substances and a BB gun under the driver's seat.

The items were seized and a man, aged 22 from Dover, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon.

He has since been released while the investigation continues.
