Man's body recovered from bottom of cliffs at St Margaret's Bay in Dover by police and coastguard crews

A man's body has been recovered by rescue teams at the bottoms of cliffs in Dover.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at St Margaret's Bay at about 12.20pm yesterday to reports that a body had been seen at the base of the cliffs.

Coastguard crews and police officers worked to locate and recover the body.

The man was declared dead at the scene by the ambulance service.

Police inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances.
