Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called out at exactly 8.09pm to a flat in Goldfinch Close, Faversham.

Two fire engines were sent and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

They cleared the property of smoke with a high pressure fan and were at the scene until exactly 8.46pm.
