After being cooped up inside for months due to the pandemic lockdown, the arrival of snow gave families a chance to enjoy themselves outside in socially distanced style.

Despite being stuck at home, people in Gravesham and Dartford have been embracing the cold and snowy weather with snow angels, snowball fights and scenic walks under the government guidelines.

After the wintry weather arrived on Sunday it has been a cause for celebration for those working and schooling from home and a chance to let off some steam.

Many youngsters across the towns have been out in their gardens playing in the snow after Storm Darcy arrived bringing plummeting temperatures, strong winds and heavy snowfall with about 10cm falling in some areas.

Kent is set to face extremely cold temperatures tonight with the mercury plunging to as low as -8C forecast in Tunbridge Wells and -7C in Gravesend.

Families have been sending in their fun photos from their play time in the snow.
