Crash on Ash Road, Longfield

A man has been taken to hospital following a crash this morning.

Police were called to a report of a single-vehicle collision at 5.08am today in Ash Road, Longfield.

Officers attended and the road was closed while the vehicle was recovered.

A man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital and the road has now reopened.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were also called and three fire engines were sent to the scene.

Crews used small tools and hydraulic cutters to release one person from the vehicle, who was then passed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance paramedics.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that one ambulance crew attended the scene and one person was assessed and treated for injuries including a back injury.
