A new restaurant specialising in Indian street food has now opened.

The Chameleon Bar and Grill can be found in Hythe and offers a wide selection of dishes from North, South, North-East India and Sri Lanka.

As well as the extensive standard menu, the restaurant will host themed nights, including Steak Saturdays and Sunday Roasts.

Dishes include curry leaf fried chicken, devilled tiger prawns and paneer, broccoli, mushroom and pepper kebab.

The restaurant has been launched by Kanagaratnam Rajamenon, known as Menon, who was behind the launch of the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Folkestone in summer 2018.

The new eatery will be under the hands of head chef Satish Nalli.

MP Damian Collins cuts the ribbon at the official opening

Mr Rajamenon, managing director at Leaf Hotels, which owns the Best Western in Folkestone, said: "Chameleon Bar & Grill is a brand new concept, producing an Indian street food style dining, but

as the name would suggest, it is all about change and evolution.

"Everyone and everything needs to change, and in the Chameleon Bar & Grill we don’t want to stand still, we want this brand to evolve into something bigger and something our customers will recognise for its innovation and quality."
