A lorry carrying about 24 tonnes of meat is being recovered after overturning in the early hours.

The huge truck rolled over at about 4am on the Junction 11 roundabout for Hythe, close to the Stop 24 services on the M20.

A number of pig carcasses can now be seen on the side of the road as recovery crews work to right the truck, which is blocking the Stone Street turn-off.

Recovery of the lorry, from Belgium, is expected to continue into the afternoon.

Stop 24 is also closed, as cars cannot access it due to the road closure.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are at the scene where the slip road is currently closed while work is ongoing to clear the carriageway and recover the vehicle.
