Oil is said to have spilled over the road near the roundabout.

One witness who is near the Stone Street junction said: "Truck turned over - avoid the roundabout, it's like a skating rink, diesel everywhere."

The slip road is currently closed and the incident not expected to clear until around 2pm with normal traffic conditions expected soon after.

Police were called just after 4am to reports of an overturned lorry and remain at the scene.

A spokesman said: "Officers are at the scene where the slip road is currently closed while work is ongoing to clear the carriageway and recover the vehicle."

There are also delays on the M20 near junction 5 for Aylesford due to a three-lorry blockade.
