But the planned awards reception at Buckingham Palace was unable to take place due to the pandemic.

But this week the Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, Lady Colgrain, finally presented the award to Neal Williams, the firm's group managing director, at a special ceremony held at the company’s Dover head office.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, was awarded to the firm for its growth in international sales.

Neal Williams said: “Winning this award is welcome recognition of our hard-working team members and their ongoing commitment to our customers. Our clients know they can trust us to deliver even when the options are limited or time-critical.

“This has been particularly apparent during the Covid crisis where we have been supporting governments and companies to bring PPE in from around the world.”
