Families in lockdown have embraced the sunshine up until now, but today may choose to avoid the garden as heavy showers descend over Kent.
The Met Office has forecast a cloudy day with persistent and heavy rain at times throughout the morning and much of the afternoon.
The showers may ease from southern coasts later with a potential break around 5pm.
It will feel cold despite light winds with highs of 14°C and lows of 8°C.
Tonight, the rain will ease during the first half of the night, but with some spots of rain or drizzle through to dawn.
There will be more patchy rain early tomorrow before a dry, cloudy and cool morning. But the rain is expected to return in the afternoon.
It's a miserable end to what has been the warmest April on record, helping to ease the stresses of being stuck at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
We've compiled a list of things to do with your children on a wet day in lockdown.
It includes a family movie session, making fat balls or feeders for the birds, crafting paper aeroplanes and creating a family portrait or piece of artwork to mark your time in lockdown.
