Yellow weather warning for rain issued across Kent for more than 24 hours

A yellow weather warning for rain is in place for the whole of Kent.

The Met Office has put out the alert, which began at 9pm yesterday and lasts until 8pm this evening, warning travel may be disrupted as a result.

The wet conditions are first set to hit southwest Britain, then spread across much of England and Wales throughout the day, meaning the whole of the county will be hit.

Drivers are being warned there could be flooding on roads, meaning journey times will be longer.

Homes and businesses may suffer from flooding, while bus and train services could see longer travel times too.
