M25 clockwise and M26 London bound reopen following serious crash

Police closed part of two motorways in Kent earlier following a serious crash involving a van.

The collision happened on the clockwise carriageway of the M25 near Junction 5 just before 11.30pm last night.

The M25 was closed clockwise between Junction 5 and Junction 6, and the M26 is also closed London bound.

Traffic was being diverted via the A21 and A25 through Sunridge, Westerham and Oxted.

Both roads reopened just after 5.30am.

Police later confirmed a man had died following the crash.
