Kent's time short time in the sun is set to come to an end after another scorcher today.

Temperatures are due to climb to an average of 26°C across most of the county this afternoon following yesterday's sun-soaked heat.

Things will be cooler on the coast, with Deal, Ramsgate and Hythe settling at around 22-23°C at around noon.

Meanwhile, Folkestone will be one of the coldest places in the county, only reaching 20°C all day.

While the heat will last for most of today- in Sevenoaks, the temperature won't dip below 20 until 9pm - it is forecast to come to an end tomorrow evening.

Cloud and rain will come in from the north-west during Sunday afternoon with patches of rain hitting western Kent first before moving East.

Temperatures in many places will hold steady for much of the day despite the cloud, with the mercury staying around 20°C.

Tunbridge Wells could just edge ahead of that, with a possible high of 21°C degrees.

However this will start to drop as rain begins to fall around 4pm across the county.
