Suspected shoplifters caught in Maidstone

Two suspected shoplifters have been charged following the theft of cosmetics worth almost £1,000 in Maidstone.

The theft from Boots the Chemist in King Street occurred yesterday afternoon around 12.50pm.

Beauty roducts worth almost £1,000 were stolen from Boots

Police officers were quickly on the scene and arrested two people in possession of a quantity of beauty products.

Michael McDonaugh, 19, of Homerton Road, Homerton, Greater London, and a 15-year-old boy, also from Homerton, were later charged with theft.

They were bailed to attend Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on February 23.
