Man arrested after reports of burglary at Countryside's Rosewood new build site in Langley, Maidstone

A suspected burglar has been arrested after police were called to reports of a man allegedly seen entering houses being built.

Officers responded to calls of an intruder on Sutton Road, Langley in Maidstone at around 4am this morning.

It is believed that the reports were of a man entering the Countryside site at the housebuilder's Rosewood development.

Police identified a suspect near the scene, who was arrested on suspicion of burglary and going equipped to steal.

Officers also reportedly seized a headtorch and pliers and a 24-year-old man has been taken into custody.
