Police release CCTV after an attempted theft from Sainsbury's on Tonbridge Road, Maidstone

Police have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to after a suspect attempted to steal from a supermarket in Maidstone.

Officers say at around 6.45pm on May 16, a woman entered a Sainsbury's store on Tonbridge Road where she reportedly tried to steal groceries.

It's thought the suspect threatened to two members of staff before leaving empty handed.

Investigators have now identified a CCTV image of a woman who may have information.

Anyone who recognises her is asked to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting crime reference 46/83441/20.
