Body found in search for missing Irena Toleveisiene from Maidstone

Police searching for a woman reported missing from Maidstone have found a body.

An appeal was made for help to find Irena Toleveisiene, 56, who was last seen in the Fant area yesterday.

But police have confirmed the search has been called off.

A force spokesman said: "The body was found near Lower Fant Road shortly after 9am on Friday, March 18.

"Formal identification has not yet taken place, however, the family of a 56-year-old woman from Maidstone, who was reported missing during the evening of Thursday, March 17 have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
