A former Gurkha has died of Covid-19 following a 10-day illness.
Retired Nepalese soldier Karna Bahadur Rai was living with his son, daughter and son-in-law in Maidstone when he contracted the coronavirus.
The 77-year-old was admitted to the intensive care unit at Maidstone Hospital, where he died on Saturday.
He had previously lived in Nepal, but had moved to live with his children in Salisbury Road when he was widowed in 2017.
Son Raj Rai said: "Rest in peace dad, no matter where we are, your spirit will be beside us, lots of love, love you forever."
