Former Maidstone MP Ann Widdecombe is in line for a sensational return to the Strictly ballroom as the BBC announce a host of stars for their Christmas Special.

This year's winter edition will have a fairytale theme with the celebrities and their expert dance partners performing festive-routines.

Other celebrities taking part in the show include TV personality Caroline Flack, JLS's Aston Merrygold and England cricket legend Michael Vaughan.

Ann Widdecombe was paired up with Anton Du Beck the last time she appeared on the show

The news comes just a couple of day after Medway doctor Ranj Singh was booted off the show by the judges following a public vote.

The 71-year-old was a viewers favourite when she competed in 2010 with one of the viewer's favourite professionals - Anton Du Beke.
