A crash on the M20 has caused delays, with queues at one point stretching back about five miles.

One lane between Junction 8 for Ashford and Junction 9 for Leeds Castle on the M20 London bound was closed after a two-vehicle collision at about 6.30am. No injuries have been reported.

According to Highways England on Twitter, there were delays approaching the incident, due to the collision causing damage to the barrier and a broken down vehicle in the queuing traffic.

The queues were said to be five miles long and there were delays almost an hour.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called to the London bound carriageway of the M20 between junctions 9 and 8 at 7am following a report of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.
