Maggots found in KFC in Sutton Road Maidstone, mum claims

A woman has taken to Facebook after maggots were reportedly discovered in chicken bought from KFC.

The post describes a disgusting find in a meal purchased from the Sutton Road, Maidstone, store.

Crystal Dixon wrote: "KFC Sutton Road. Don’t eat from there.

The post included this picture

"My mum and step dad got a takeaway from there and discovered there was maggots and maggot eggs in the chicken."

The mum-of-one's post, has been shared more than 600 times and has 350 comments.

The Kent Messenger has been unable to speak to Crystal to verify her claims.

The fast food restaurant has recently been awarded a five-star hygiene rating.

A KFC spokesperson said: “We’re sorry to hear of this guest’s experience and are currently speaking to them to find out exactly how this could have happened.

"We have strict processes in place to ensure the quality and safety of our food and are surprised given the restaurant’s recent five-star hygiene rating.”
